Healing Power of hard buckwheat mattress
Roger Federer, Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, Usain Bolt have many things in common. All became legends while still alive, thanks to their astonishing achievements, all come from modest, some from very poor backgrounds, all are perfectionists. They are regular men, who approach regular activities differently.
However, there is one thing they all share, which is truly hard to believe that they do. The world-famous sportsmen, leading players of their sport disciplines, pay great attention to something, that so many of us ignore. Roger Federer, called the best tennis player of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo, the wonder child of football, Usain Bolt, the genius of running, LeBron James, the wizard of basketball. Professionals in their sports and in … life.
They are the best at their chosen sport disciplines. And… all of them, are the masters when it comes to sleep!Sport stars like leBron James, Roger Federer, Cristiano Ronaldo pay great attenton to sleep. Click To Tweet
We are used to the images of sport stars partying till the early morning hours, drinking and smoking, and later winning the most important matches. But the truly stunning long-term success, achieved by those who created everything in their lives from scratch through hard work, is built on a different foundation.
Simple means long-term success
Proper food, proper sleep, stable family, the right type of mattress to sleep on, emotional stability, correct breathing and training. All of these are simple things, accessible to everyone, but most of us do not focus on them enough. We stay up late to finish work, which results in lack of sleep, we eat wrong food (fast food for example), we say yes to emotional drama, soft beds, pills for weight loss instead of exercise. But those who achieve everything most of us dream about, do the things differently. Some people say, that Cristiano Ronaldo is robotic. Would you agree with this? We do not! It is what a person dedicated to the result could do. He comes from a very modest background, and reached the absolute pinnacle of success, not just by focusing on the good, but also through getting rid of the bad habits. Ronaldo is not some mysterious figure from the top. He is a regular guy, who decided to do the things the best way he could. He is a legend.
Read more about his success habits in our article : “How to have a good night’s sleep like Cristiano Ronaldo”
Sleep, which some of us try to minimize, even copy Donald Trump who professes to sleep only three hours a night, is glorified by the greatest sportsmen, and called by them the bridge to success.
To say, that all of them sleep enough, would be an understatement. Roger Federer spends in his bed from 12 to 10 hours a night! The same applies to Usain Bolt or Maria Sharapova. Some, like Cristiano Ronaldo, hire professional sleep coaches. You may ask: Aren’t they wasting time? they should be training instead.
Nope, the research shows, that a difference in results between a tennis player who slept well and enough and the one who did not, can reach 42%. 42% less precise tennis player can forget about any trophy. Research also shows, that if a weightlifter continues to have less sleep for four nights in a row, he might lift at least 10 kilograms less than if he had a good night’s sleep each night.
To win, It is not enough just to train.
So, one may think: should we just focus on sleep and expect success? No, human body needs a combination of simple things, repeated consistently. Body and mind form one entity. When you train your body, your mind improves. When you work on your mentality and peace of mind, your body starts to heal. When you approach yourself holistically, you can combat possible serious health problems before the symptoms appear. The sportsmen know about it, and treat their lives professionally.
Proper diet, daily training, enough sleep, good relationships, proper breathing, mental practice (like meditation), the right type of bed and pillow to sleep on. Cristiano Ronaldo sleeps on a 10 centimeter thick bed (which is similar to the height of our buckwheat mattresses), in 5 sets of sleep, each lasting up to 90 minutes. He would fall asleep in an embryonic position for 90 minutes, wake up, and repeat it 5 times a day. Just like Cristiano Ronaldo, the top sportsmen pay attention to the mattress they spend the night on, as the mattress can either heal or destroy your health. It is what the mattress does to your spine, which makes or breaks you.
Spine, the back bone of success
Ever had a bad day after a sleepless night? I had. Not just physically, having less energy, but also mentally, filling sad. It happens, because the quality of sleep is crucially important to your spine. The back bone holds your entire body in good shape. The nerve impulses are sent through it from your brain to each cell of the body. And each vertebrea of your spine connects with a different organ through the spinal nerves. If any of the vertebrea gets displaced, even only a bit, the nerve impulses sent from the brain may not reach the destined organ and result in malfunction of your organism. Iillness and pain follow.
Proper hard bed (organic buckwheat mattress for example) is crucial for the spine to heal through the night and deliver the nerve impulses to the organs, so that the entire body works as one.
The spine and disease
Each vertebrae delivers vital impulses to the organs and cells of your body, resulting in health or pain. The spine is built of 33 to 34 vertebrae, which are divided into 5 sections:
- Cervical (7 vertebrae, which is associated with the energetic system of your body)
- Thoracic, Dorsal (12 vetrebrae, connected with the vital body organs)
- Lumbar ( 5 vertebrae, are thought to be connected with sexuality, sense of self worth)
- Sacral (5 vertebrae, associated with sexuality, hormolan imbalances, kidneys, and more)
Let’s focus on the Thoracic spine for example, and see which vertebrae connects to which organ:
- 1 vertebrae – lower arms and fingers
- 2 vertebrae – heart
- 3 vertebrae – lungs, chest and breasts
- 4 vertebrae – gall bladders
- 5 vertebrae – liver, blood circulation, solar plexus
- 6 vertebrae – stomach
- 7 vertebrae – pancreas, duodenum
- 8 vertebrae – spleen
- 9 vertebrae – adrenal glands
- 10 vertebrae – kidneys
- 11 vertebrae – ureters
- 12 vertebrae – small intestines, lymph circulation
if one vertebrae is not working correctly, pain may be experienced.
Isn’t it shocking to see how important each vertebrae is? knowning this, it is easier to understand the root cause of pain in the specific organs and see the connection of soft beds, improper sleep, prolonged sitting to pain in the body and disease.
Spine, Liver, Weight Loss and Hard Mattress
When you sleep, the impulses run from your brain to the organs through the specific vertebrae of your spine. But, if you sleep on a soft bed, your spine is slightly bent, resulting in pressure put on the middle section of the spine, affecting liver, kidneys and other crucial parts. When body is incorrectly aligned, heart finds it more difficult to pump blood. As a consequence, these vital organs lack proper blood circulation and do not remove enough toxins from your system. More toxins in the body results in heavier body. It is a complex system, we will not describe its functioning in this article, but reveal this:
If your liver, blood circulation do not work properly, you find it more difficult to lose weight. When you start sleeping on a hard surface mattress (but not too hard, the mattress should be firm, to support your spine, but avoid causing pain), you may lose from 3 to 5 kilograms of body weight within the first two months of sleeping on a hard surface mattress (depending on your total weight and health).

ps. For years, I have been amazed by the longevity of the persons from the climbing community. I am friends with trememdous climbers, who are over 80 years old. They live long, and usually in good health. Discovering the marvellous spine facts, it became clear why: through climbing, they keep straight posture, raise their arms often, strech often, have slender bodies. Their spines love it, and the remaining organs too.
Love yourself, love your spine and life. Your every day is the new beginning. Check our store now.
