Today, I have a very quick message for you, as there is something I feel so intensely. The quality of our lives. Do you know what it is for you? Can you feel your feelings on a regular basis? Finally, is it possible for you to sit in silence, in a state of peace of mind and peace of heart?
Free yourself from a Facebook addiction
You see, I used to use facebook on a daily basis. I would read what friends, colleagues publish, like their posts, comment, write my own, worry, feel anxious, as it often happens after using facebook. Even if I was on facebook for an hour, or a half, my mind and body would store it for hours each day as stress, internal state of chaos. Moreover, these hours used to steal extremly valuable attention. Attention of my mind, of my heart about where I was, what was happening in my life.
And then, last week I simply decided to stop this addiction. First, to stop visiting the platform often, and then to stop visiting some people’s pages, avoid all the two-dimensional drama. Moreover, such stressful situations influence sleep as well. Hours spent in front of a computer screen or a smartphone send blue light to your eyes and skin. It leads to troubles sleeping. In silence and space you find a beginning
And magic started happening. No immediately, but day after day, I have started feeling so much calmer, and found the real me, for this particular moment of life. Furthermore, sitting peacefully in an armchair, I felt how spacious my life is. That the space is sometimes empty, and that I was tired of filling that space with facebook, creating false impressions of connections. And when I removed them, I saw the space. And it astonished me. When you remove the false impressions, you are left with the raw truth. What’s more, yes, you can simply sit and feel, and listen to what is happening inside you and around you. This is when, you can start feeling yourself more. It takes place in this silence, that happens as a result of removing the chaos of the modern lives. facebook teaches us nervous ways of beaing instead of peace of mind and peace of heart.
This silence is for the strong. You may start asking yourself: who am I really? Am I in movement, do I change? Next, are my feelings me? Do my actions define me? and perhaps the most important one: do I love myself? Do I need to have a “why” to feel it?
This empty space has such questions in it. And the questions are life-changing. In my life, in the past what helped find that space, was buddhism. And in fact, it was meditation, being in inner silence. I also suggest visiting an Eckhart Tolle website to listening to his understanding.
