Charlie Munger’s wisdom that helped him become a great investor
“We both (Warren Buffett) insist on a lot of time being available almost every day to just sit and think. This is very uncommon in American business. We read and think.” Charlie Munger’s wisdom.
Charlie Munger and Warren Buffett are without a doubt successful investors. They know how to build wealth, give advise to others about investments. Warren Buffet for quite a long time was the richest person on Earth. Both are known for their peaceful way of being, calm and modesty. This is very uncommon, as the riches Charlie Munger possessed, gave him the ability to own and do whatever he wanted. Yet, both of them remained humble, in their way of being and showing who they were. This is truly beautiful to me, as it shows where the real riches are: that is… on the inside.
Every moment is a mirror
When you are self-confident, trust yourself, value yourself, there is no need to show off, put masks on your face, wear very attractive clothes to attract attention. On the contrary, your focus will be on the now, your body and feelings, surrounding. You will become authentic, true and emotionally stronger. This is also a test, of the place you are in right now. If you feel the need to be accepted, to dress up to be seen in a specific way, to win attention, you will see yourself at this specific moment. No judgment, no self-criticism.
When you simply are in silence, you experience yourself. Sometimes it may be wonderful, at others, scary
It is not wrong to have the need to show off, as it is a part of life, emotion that comes from within you, for a reason. It may be a path to finally knowing, that you do not need to do anything special, play off, to be liked. This emotional state allows beautiful things to happen. The emergence of your true self. Simplicity and focus are another of these things. When you, for example, feel so strong within you, and so fascinated about yourself, that you want to develop yourself, and have no need to compete with others. Charlie Munger’s wisdom or your own.

Peace of mind, fascination of your own self highlights the need to rest and find space to simply be. As Charlie Munger said, time to sit and read, space for peace of mind and thoughts, to feel your own body. This is also why for example a bedroom should be simple, minimalistic, warm, but simple. We are not machines, constantly active, busy in our lives and thoughts. Minimalistic, beautiful space teaches our minds to stop the chatter, work and rush. To simply be in a moment.
Space, peace of mind, sitting without doing anything, are the true luxuries of our world and time. Charlie was one of the richest people of our time, yet in his Charlie Munger’s wisdom, simple sitting and reading are the jewels.
External power and its costs
Our fast paced world, packed with advanced tools, helps us live in more and more comfortable conditions. At the same time, often it happens at the expense of nature and our health. Growing production needs more land, water and air, natural resources and creates electromagnetic smog, pollution. On one side we have comfort, on the other disappearing nature and more fregile health. However, if we do simple fundamental things well, we can handle the difficulties in our lives in a better fashion.
Health centers report this alarming truth
If we live in such “possibility”, why then health centers around the world report growing number of mental diseases, depression and weaker bonds between people? Depression happens in the space between what you know about yourself and your subconscious. Subconscious mind is about everything written deep down, hidden from view, that comes from all our experiences, feelings, thoughts and other influences. They influence us, and often we are simply unaware of this. The more we discover our true self, that is hidden in our subconscious mind, the more we know ourselves and find inner peace. When we focus on the external world as a source of understanding, feeling, knowing… we lose touch with who we truly are.
ABC NEWS: “Results showed rates are rising fastest among certain groups, particularly young adults and women. Women’s rates of depression during their lifetimes climbed from 26.2% in 2017 to 36.7% in 2023. Rates of those with current depression increased from 17.6% to 23.8% over the same period”
Relationships are key to our well-being. Growing number of cancer cases, stress-related problems in our bodies leave people feeling hopeless, as if coping with spiralling difficulties was beyond their reach. This is where we need to go back to ourselves, simple truths and nature, where cures have no side effects, where we find and see beauty, peace of mind. Natural cures have been in use since the beginning of man. Finally, this is how our organic handmade products came to our minds: as a natural cure to so many of our moden world problems.
Precious feeling
Charlie Munger’s wisdom and suggestion is to simply sit and do nothing, amidst chaos of our world, things to do, and people to meet. It stops the invasion of the outer world and let’s the inner one sing. The song our bodies, feelings and emotions sing is a one of the source of life. When you do what Charlie suggested, for that moment you reach a world where time flows differently, and you feel that you are alive. This is precious, that knoweldge that you are. Moreover, in such moments your body relaxes and it helps you be healthier. (read more about longevity and health in our lenagthy article:
