Creativity is Simple
Let me tell you a brief story that shows, that creativity is simple, even if you do not believe it.
One time I was attending a meeting with Sir Richard Branson, a British businessman, billionaire, and a creative genius. So many questions were asked, as it seemed all who attended, wanted to use that moment to receive something from him. It was either wisdom or business advice people wanted. And then, a young man stood up and asked …
“Sir Richard, you are so creative. You own and lead over 400 companies (this was the situation back then, about ten years ago). Where does your creativity come from? How do you come up with so many new ideas, how do you spot an opportunity?”
As I remember, Branson answered immediately:
“It is very simple. You just need to have morality, values, high standards. Value truth, well-being of all people, kindness. And then travel the world. Wherever you go, you will see things that need improvement.”
You are more amazing than you will ever know. Your mind and body.
Creativity happens at the intersection of your great emotions, feelings, knowledge, values, and what you see around. If according to who you are, the world could be improved, and you have that entrepreneurial spark within you, you will change things. Creativity is that simple.

Creativity is simple
I know, the personal development companies say different things, they give you strategies to do this or that. But what they actually do, is they overcomplicate things. But just listen to the most creative and productive people, like Richard Branson, Steve Jobs. What you will hear, is the same message: you can create things, and the process is simple, down to your core values and beliefs. These things really are the foundation of everything. Creativity happens at the intersection of your values and what you see, experience around.
Yes, it is that simple to start with!
It may look oversimplistic. But what you may do, is to try to enjoy life as much as you can. Love, lough, look for greatness in everything, cherish beauty, take good care of yourself and others, the environment. Choose positive states of mind over negative (you may just switch off the TV to find yourself being so much more optimistic).
The results will follow, you will become more creative. Moreover, if you had a childlike creativity in you, I have a question that you may like: “what if everything is possible?” (Go ahead and rea more about it in our thorough article about it here “The art of life“)
