Our organic mustard mattress is made of 100% cotton and filled with white mustard seeds (also known as charlock seeds). The mattress cover includes a zipper, which allows you to add or remove the charlock seeds, either to refill the mat, or to wash its cover. The mattress can be used as a floor sleeping mat.
It is a comfortable mat, easy to be rolled up, and placed in the corner of the room, used later for sleeping or meditation. It gently massages your spine, neck and nerves, helps your muscles. You can take it with you for group meditation, or use it while travelling, as a healthy portable bed. If you travel in a camper, it makes it even easier.

Known for tens of years
In folk medicine charlock is used externally to heal rheumatic pain via pillows and mattresses filled with the seeds. Charlock seeds generate a biological field, similar to a human biofield, which can have a positive effect on metabolism and boost the production of healthy cells to strengthen the immune system.

How to use the mattress
The organic mustard mattress can be:
-Used together with our buckwheat hulls mattress. In such case, place the buckwheat hulls mattress on your bed, floor, and the charlock/mustard mattress on top of it. It is also fine to use just the charlock mattress alone, or the buckwheat hulls one.
-You can also simply place it on the floor, and use it as a floor sleeping mat.
-Use it as a meditation mat as well.
The mattress is very versatile. Very beautifully made, with an attention to detail. It will last for years.

Last year, I ordered some wonderful bedding from you, the buckwheat mattress, some great body pillows, and also a charlock mattress. My housemate began having a lot of back problems, using some top-of-the-line conventional American bedding. He sleeps on his back, so I persuaded him to try the charlock mattress on top of his mattress (as it happens, it was just the right size for his bed!). His back is feeling much better after a few weeks of using it.
