Mastery in every living organism
True mastery shows up in life in the actions invisible to the eyes of other people. When we take care of each detail, in harmony of the forms in your own life: whether it is your own mental, physical strength, or a product. The master is working on his body day by day, without looking for attention from somebody else. Actions he takes build his own sense of self, the space where everything worthy in life begins.
It is beautiful because it is useful!
This is also the principle of nature. A living organism would not have a chance to live if its body was somehow failing on the inside. Moreover, if for example, it is nice and beautiful on the outside, but full of chaos, toxicity, with a weak sceleton on the inside, it would not have a chance to survive. There is no “support” in the world of nature. An organism is either fit to live, with a body working well, or it dies.
Steve Jobs discovers this jewel early in his life
When Steve Jobs, the creator of “Apple”, a company behind iconic products like iPhones, iMacs, iPods was a little boy, his step father Paul Jobs showed him something, that was to shape Steve’s entire life. Paul, was a car mechanic and a person who liked to do things well. Once his father built a fence in their garden. The details were so precise, that it stood there even 50 years later. He said to little Steve: “You’ve got to make the back of the fence, that nobody will see, just as good looking as the front of the fence,” and : “Even though nobody will see it, you will know, and that will show that you’re dedicated to making something perfect.”
The mantra of Apple
When it came to designing the products “Apple” was globally LOVED for, he followed his father’s principles. Everything is one, the parts you see and don’t see are the same. “Apple’s” products from the time when Steve was its leader, were iconic, precise on the inside, something rare in the business world. It was so uncommon, that even his own employees and most of the designers in Apple felt it was strange and unnecessary, a waste of time. It was alien to people, because nobody really behaved liked that.
But, when the iPods, iPhones, iMac computers were on the market and people bought them, there were millions and millions of emotional reactions of gratitude. There was a deep passion as well for a product so precise, that even its tiny screws were beautiful. The customers felt that Apple took care of them. Jony Ive says why they were different
“Beauty is in that that it works, and perhaps not the appearance, I believe that. We sense, we couldn’t articulate why, I can’t articulate why, but we sense when there has been care taken with the products, just in the same way we sense carelessness, and sadly most of our manufactured environment I think testifies to a degree of carelessness. It testified to like get it built fast, make it cheap, make it look different. It is just, there is this carelessness. I don’t know, I think it is one of the things that we do, that we strive to do for humanity, and it is a way we can serve is to care. ” Jony Ive (the leading designer behind Apple’s success, Steve’s closest collaborator and friend).

Further, we respect and love Steve Jobs, Jony Ive and Apple from the time when they lead it, for following this principle. (however…. there was one minus, as they have factories in Asia that created the iconic products but destroyed the land in the process, which was catastrophic).
