We create the meditation mattress (zabuton) with 100% GOTS certified organic cotton covers. We carefully cut the fabrics and prepare the cover by hand. When it is ready, it is time to fill it with pure organic backwheat hulls from buckwheat cultivated in a clean rural area of Poland. Zabuton meaning

The meditation mattress, organic zabuton, is a square mattress, that those who meditate use for sitting. It was first created in Japan, where people still use it today in places where sitting is on the floor. You can find them throughout Japan. In Japanese, a zabuton means ‘sitting futon‘. Zen monks use them in combination with zafu which is placed on top of a zabuton. Zafu (zabuton cushion) with zabutons work together.

The mattress is firm. We fill it with buckwheat hulls that delicately massage your muscles and joints. We make the covers with 100% high quality organic cotton (GOTS certified). It’s available in 4 different colours: natural, blue, black and natural linen.
